Busy Nothing but meetings for the past two days. My boss is the director of the FL CFAR (Center for AIDS Research). We just had our second annual meeting. Jay Levy came a gave a couple of lectures. He's a pretty dude in the field.

  NuNu 5K Ran a 5K this morning running on about 3 hours of sleep. I can tell I'm going to crash hard this afternoon. Oh well, I got third place in my age group. Now I just need to find my medal; it was too cold to hang around, plus I have a medieval faire to attend.

  The King Slumdog millionaire was great. If you have the chance, I recommend it. I ended up going to Kristen and ordering a large popcorn. I think I ate too much because my tongue ended up hurting from all the salt.

  Interviews, Obama, and the American Way So after some wresting with the DCTF webpage I was finally able to schedule an interview. For those interested I will be in DC the weekend of Feb. 21st. I'm meeting with my boss tomorrow (MLK Jr. Day) to go over some figures for a manuscript as well as talk about my future. I'm excited to move on. I'm not sure where, but I'm ready for a change.

Speaking of change, Obama in the White House this Tuesday huh? I'm happy, but I don't seem to be as excited as everyone else. I'm glad that he will be president, but I think I'm just more glad the Bush will NOT be the President any longer. It's been a sad eight years.

In other news, I plan on going to see Slumdog Millionaire tonight after my soccer game. I hear it's pretty good, I'll let you know what I think.

Also, Jenna's making me upset. I know we don't get to speak that often, but I just wish she would show a little respect and take time to talk with me when she is able -- and not a 3AM. It's been going on for quite a while. Too long. I try to bend my schedule to talk to her (often during the weekdays from say 1:30AM or later). I cannot do it anymore.

  Interview I received an email from DCTF informing me that I have been selected for an interview. I'm excited. I looked at the pay scale and it's not horrible. I guess you don't go into teaching for the money though.

I still plan on applying for Island Caretaker. I'm now wondering if it's worth investing in an HD camcorder or just going for the digital camera look. I may ask for everyone's help for bumping the "star" rating of my video.  ¶ 4:30 PM 0 Comments

  Again So the new year, a new post. I had my 28th birthday last Wednesday. Twenty-eight is the unfortunate age where I am not longer in my mid-twenties. Twenty-eight also has few redeeming qualities except that I am now closer to thirty then twenty-five. I guess, even when you are 26 you are closer to thirty, because there's no turning around. I'm no longer a passenger, but I'm the driver. I can't yell and scream from the back, because the car isn't turning around.

There is some optimism though. I'm one year closer to retirement.

I'm currently looking for jobs. I'm not 100% sure what I want to do, but I'm looking in the science and education departments of the government. I guess anything with a great salary would be nice.

I'm still working on inline photos and I wanted to learn inline youtube. Here I go.
